Million Dollar Milestone
Serving Students & Teacher During the Pandemic
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County‘s signature program, Red Apple Supplies has reached a ‘Million Dollar Milestone’ this academic school year, distributing $1,000,000 in FREE school supplies and classroom resources to 63 Title 1 district-operated schools in Palm Beach County.
On Friday, April 30th, Ms. Marcia Andrews, The School District of Palm Beach County School Board Member, District 6, joined the Education Foundation team and Board of Director, Jim Moore from UnitedHealthcare, to deliver pallets of hand sanitizer and masks to four area schools in Royal Palm Beach and the Glades Region. The delivery is the result of a generous donation from our partners at Kids in Need Foundation and Buddha’s Light International Association.
Thank You to all our Red Apple Supplies donors who made the investment of time, talent & treasure to provide hope to our students and support to our teachers during a historic time in education.

Digital Inclusion – Access for All
Connecting a Community with First WiFi Mesh Network
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County and the entire School District of Palm Beach County‘s Digital Inclusion team is excited to announce the first WiFi mesh network is live and operational in Lake Worth Beach, FL. This small test area is being used as a pilot to ensure the WiFi extenders connect to the mesh network properly in students’ residences. The Educational Technology team is working closely with several schools’ WiFi Warriors to review the WiFi extender distribution process and conduct follow-up surveys with each family to obtain feedback and improve the deployment process as they look forward to distributing WiFi extenders on a larger scale. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Education Foundation has raised nearly $1 million dollars in support of this important initiative helping bridge the digital divide for students and families.
The goal of the Digital Inclusion Initiative is to grant all students, regardless of zip code, access to reliable internet access in their homes.
