VOLUNTEER
Engage in a fun and memorable team-building exercise through our Red Apple Supplies (RAS) Program. Volunteering at RAS provides a hands-on way for companies to connect with each other and our local schools and teachers. By volunteering, you are directly impacting the lives of the county’s highest needs children and increasing their chance of a brighter future.
Volunteer Tasks and Agenda
The goal of RAS volunteer projects is to uphold the look and integrity of the facility, that our teachers will enjoy an experience no other Teacher Resources Store can match. Though not all-inclusive, the following will be what a volunteer could expect to be assigned.
-
Sort, organize, inventory and stock donated and/or purchased products
-
Assist Teachers with their shopping experience
-
Research dollar values of items and set distribution quantities
-
Add descriptive signage to departments and product
-
Build and set retail display racks
-
Create inviting displays and creative uses of outdated items
-
General housekeeping items throughout the year
Attire
Please dress comfortably and refrain from wearing open-toed footwear (sandals, flip-flops, etc.). Many companies and groups that come together are welcome to wear their company/team shirts.
Volunteers can get involved right away! Please note, high school students can earn their service learning volunteer hours and gain experience while supporting the needs of students and teachers in the community! We are looking for consistent volunteers who will join us on a regular basis, as well as larger groups who might volunteer less frequently.
Host a Supply Drive to Support Students, Teachers, and Schools!
Individuals, businesses and organizations are welcome to host a school supply drive anytime throughout the year, as we are always happy to accept donations of new supplies to stock our shelves for the teachers who shop for FREE at our store.
With your help, we can ensure that teachers have the resources they need and that students can reach their full potential by giving them the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

Our Red Apple Supplies program is dedicated to providing those who are in need of school supplies with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom.
Backpack Sponsorship Opportunities:
Anyone can be a backpack sponsor! Your donation covers the cost of the backpack, supplies, storage and packing materials. Our minimum sponsorship level is $2,500 which will supply backpacks for 100 students.
Backpack Building Events:
Our Red Apple Supplies program is dedicated to providing those who are in need of school supplies with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom.
Backpack Building Events are designed to empower those who believe every child deserves a shot at success. We invite companies, groups of friends, families, and individuals to build backpacks at Red Apple Supplies. Assembling backpacks is a tangible way to connect your contribution to giving back locally. A Backpack Building Event provides a hands-on way to connect with each other and the student recipients.
Your build event can last 1 hour or 1 day! Volunteers can fill backpacks in shifts or all at once, depending on the number of volunteers and backpacks your group wants to build. Your event can be easily modified to meet your needs.
This is a fun way for families and groups of friends to spend quality time together while making a difference through supporting education. All volunteers will have to review and sign a waiver prior to participating. If under the age of 18, a parent must also sign the waiver.
