The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County welcomes Part Time Programs & Grants Specialist, Dr. Becky Youngman, EdD to the team! Becky is no stranger to the world of education: She taught French for 20 years at Atlantic High School, worked as Manager at Safe Schools supporting Learning Team Facilitators, as well managed several grants and college readiness programs (AVID, Springboard, Johnson Scholars, SAT school day). Dr. Youngman served as Curriculum Manager for The School District of Palm Beach County for 12 years overseeing a variety of curricula including: accelerated coursework (AP, IB and AICE), gifted programs, secondary literacy, world languages, the regional Ethics Bowl, and college and career readiness programs (AVID, Johnson Scholars, SAT and ACT). She also taught as an adjunct at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Retiring from The School District of Palm Beach County in 2020 did not stop her from changing the world through education. Dr. Youngman went on to become the Curriculum Manager for the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme at the IB Global Centre in The Hague, Netherlands where she is responsible for the Reflective Project and the Personal and Professional Skills courses.
When Becky is not educating, she is enjoying traveling with her husband and daughter. She is also an avid reader and a fan of art, jazz music, yoga and visiting historical places. Becky is honored and excited to work with the Foundation team to reciprocate the support she received as an Education Foundation of Palm Beach County grant recipient during her time working with the district, and we are thrilled to have her join us in serving the students and teachers in Palm Beach County. Welcome to the team Becky!
