Birdies For Charity Program
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is excited to participate in Birdies for Charity! Make a gift of $20 or more, submit your birdie guess, and you could win a $10,000 grand prize—while helping support local students and teachers.
We receive 100% of every donation, plus a portion of the tournament’s $100,000 bonus pool. Your gift helps restock classroom shelves and power our programs across Palm Beach County.
How It Works
DATES: The program runs from November 5, 2025 through February 25, 2026.
PLEDGE & GUESS: Donors make pledges by guessing the total number of birdies that will bemade by PGA TOUR players during the Cognizant Classic (Feb 26–Mar 1, 2026). To participate, donors must contribute at least $20 to the participating charity of their choice.
GRAND PRIZE: One lucky supporter who guesses closest – without going over – to the total number of birdies made during the 2026 Cognizant Classic will win a $10,000 grand prize!
BONUS POOL: The tournament has contributed funds to a bonus pool that will be distributedamong participating charities based on their fundraising efforts.
TIEBREAKER: If there is a tie, the winner will be determined by the most accurate guess to a tiebreaker question: How many balls will land in the water at the Bear Trap (Holes 15, 16 & 17)? If multiple ties remain, additional tiebreaker questions will be used until a winner is determined.
A birdie is a score of one stroke better than par for any golf hole. Par is the average expected score for any given hole (typically 3, 4, or 5). PGA pros are expected to make between 1,000 – 1,500 birdies during The Classic in the Palm Beaches.
Past Birdie Totals:
