This week is dedicated to celebration of The Honda Classic Cares! Many charities, including the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, will move their mission forward because of the generosity and distribution of more than $35 million to 103 non-profit organizations from of one of the premier organizations in our county. Funds raised during The Honda Classic Golf Tournament (held in February) allowed The Honda Classic team to award more than $35 million to 103 non-profit organizations who serve children in our community.
The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County operates Red Apple Supplies, a Free Teacher Resource Store, because we believe NO teacher should purchase school supplies from their personal income and that EVERY student should have the supplies needed to succeed in school. Completing its fourth year of operations, Red Apple Supplies serves 53 schools in the School District of Palm Beach County.
The vision of the Education Foundation is to serve all public schools in Palm Beach County, and this support from the Honda Classic helps us to expand our services in the next academic year. This is a critical time to support our teachers and students, as we continue to work through the uncertainty brought on by the pandemic.
We are thankful to the Honda Classic, American Honda and all those who played a part in this year’s tournament!
