Innovation and Inspiration: GoTeach! Classroom Grant Awards 2024

The Boynton Beach Arts & Cultural Center came alive with excitement on October 24, 2024, as educators and administrators gathered for the annual GoTeach! Classroom Grant Awards Ceremony presented by Florida Blue. The evening began with an elegant reception featuring delectable appetizers and desserts expertly prepared by the talented students of West Boca Raton High School’s Culinary Academy.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy as grant recipients, district leadership, and event sponsors networked and celebrated together. Many attendees took advantage of the evening’s entertainment, capturing memorable moments in the interactive 360-degree photo booth.

The program opened with an innovative twist – a creative video presentation from Palm Beach Lakes High School’s E-Sports program. The students cleverly wove together elements from “The Wizard of Oz” with themes of classroom innovation, setting a tone of creativity and imagination for the evening ahead.

However, it was the keynote speaker who truly captured everyone’s hearts. Jaxon Barnes, a remarkable second-grade student at Plumaso School of the Arts, took to the podium and delivered a moving speech about hope and the lasting impact teachers have on their students’ lives. His profound insights and articulate delivery demonstrated exactly why educators pour their hearts into their classrooms daily.

The celebration concluded with the much-anticipated announcements of grant recipients. Each honoree was recognized for their innovative educational initiatives and commemorated the moment with a photo alongside District Leadership. The evening served as a powerful reminder of the dedication and creativity that Palm Beach County educators bring to their classrooms every day.

As the event drew to a close, it was clear that the GoTeach! Classroom Grant Awards did more than just distribute funds – it celebrated the spirit of innovation in education and the powerful bond between teachers and their students.

Thank you to our generous grant funders and event supporters!
