“Thanks a Latte” Teacher Appreciation Event

As Palm Beach County teachers prepare to welcome students back to the classroom, more than 100 educators were celebrated today during the annual “Thanks a Latte” Teacher Appreciation Event, hosted by The Mall at Wellington Green in partnership with the Wellington Community Foundation.

Held in The District Community Area at The Mall at Wellington Green, the event recognized the incredible dedication, passion, and lasting impact teachers make in the lives of students every single day.

Teachers from Wellington-area schools enjoyed an afternoon designed just for them, complete with refreshments, exciting raffle prizes, back-to-school swag bags filled with classroom supplies and gifts, seasonal fashion inspiration, and opportunities to explore participating retailers before the school year begins.

Each teacher also received a ream of copy paper, generously donated by Office Depot, helping provide an essential classroom resource as educators prepare for the new school year. The Education Foundation is incredibly grateful for Office Depot’s continued commitment to supporting teachers and students across Palm Beach County.

The celebration also welcomed State Representative Emily Gregory (District 87), Village of Wellington Mayor Michael Napoleone, School Board Chair Karen Brill, and School Board Member Marcia Andrews, who joined community leaders in expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the educators who inspire the next generation.

"Our teachers are at the heart of every successful school and every thriving community. This event is a small way of saying thank you for the countless hours, compassion, and dedication they pour into their students each and every day. We are incredibly grateful to The Mall at Wellington Green and the Wellington Community Foundation for helping us celebrate these amazing educators."

The annual event has quickly become a favorite back-to-school tradition, providing teachers with a chance to connect, relax, and feel appreciated before welcoming students back into their classrooms.

The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County extends its sincere appreciation to The Mall at Wellington Green, the Wellington Community Foundation, Office Depot for generously providing copy paper for every teacher in attendance, State Representative Emily Gregory, Mayor Michael Napoleone, School Board Chair Karen Brill, School Board Member Marcia Andrews, and all participating retailers and community partners for helping make this year’s celebration so memorable.

To every teacher, principal, and school staff member across Palm Beach County—thank you for inspiring minds, encouraging dreams, and helping students build brighter futures. We wish you an incredible 2026–2027 school year!
