Future Leaders in Action

Developing the Next Generation of Leaders at the Education Foundation

At the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, our mission extends beyond supporting students and teachers.  We are equally committed to cultivating the next generation of nonprofit, business, and community leaders.  Through our internship program, college students gain meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to work that strengthens public education across Palm Beach County.

Our internship initiative is made possible through Florida Atlantic University’s newly launched Government and Non-Profit Internship Program, beginning in Spring 2026.  This fully funded partnership connects selected organizations with talented FAU juniors and seniors who are eager to build professional experience in government and nonprofit settings.  Interns work on-site up to 20 hours per week for 16 weeks while enrolled in FAU’s Professional Internship course, ensuring structured learning, accountability, and real-world application.

Together, this collaboration creates a powerful win–win: students develop career readiness and professional skills, while the Education Foundation benefits from fresh energy, perspective, and talent that advance our mission.
