One of the Foundation’s most impactful partnerships with the Education Foundation takes place during Boca West’s annual Hope Week.
What may seem like “just packing backpacks” quickly becomes something much more powerful.
During Hope Week, volunteers come together to assemble hundreds of backpacks filled with essential school supplies for local students. Through conversations with Education Foundation staff and school leaders, volunteers gain a deeper understanding of how something as simple as a fresh
notebook, writing utensils, or a new backpack can significantly influence a child’s school experience.
At a recent Hope Week event, one volunteer shared they had hesitated to sign up, unsure how impactful the activity would be. But after hearing firsthand how school supplies directly affect students’ confidence and success, they left inspired — grateful to be part of something meaningful.
