Banyan Creek Elementary Named 100th Red Apple Supplies Partner School

The morning was filled with cheers, confetti, and pure surprise as more than 50 teachers from Banyan Creek Elementary arrived at the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Red Apple Supplies store — not realizing they were about to become part of history!

As their charter bus pulled into the parking lot, they were greeted by colorful streamers, noisemakers, and applause from the Education Foundation team, community partners, and volunteers from HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. The excitement marked a special milestone: Banyan Creek Elementary is officially our 100th Red Apple Supplies partner school!

Inside, teachers were treated to breakfast from Brooklyn Water Bagel, games, and door prizes before the real fun began — shopping for classroom supplies, all free of charge. This was the teachers first time visiting Red Apple Supplies, the Foundation’s free teacher resource store that helps ensure students in Title I schools have what they need to learn.

Reaching 100 schools is a tremendous milestone. Each notebook and marker represents more than a supply — it represents hope, opportunity, and equity for students across Palm Beach County.

Since opening in 2016, Red Apple Supplies has distributed more than $9.2 million in classroom resources, helping offset the hundreds of dollars teachers often spend from their own pockets.

The event highlighted what’s possible when a community comes together. Meredith Trim, founder of Red Apple Supplies, along with Education Foundation board members, community leaders, supporters, volunteers, and District leaders, celebrated teachers and renewed their collective commitment to ensuring every school has access to the resources they need.

As the morning came to a close, the celebration continued beyond the walls of Red Apple Supplies. A special thank-you goes to Good Greek Moving & Storage, who generously helped transport boxes filled with classroom supplies back to Banyan Creek Elementary. Their support ensured that teachers could return to campus with everything they selected, ready to restock their classrooms and inspire their students.

The smiles throughout the event said it all — this was more than a milestone; it was a reminder of what’s possible when a community invests in its teachers and students.

The Education Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to every Champion of Education who makes this work possible. Together, we’re building brighter futures — one classroom, one school, and one student at a time.
