The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is proud to shine a spotlight on one of our inspiring Education Foundation Young Professionals (EFYP) members: Guadalupe Quintanar Resendiz, a passionate advocate for educational equity and student success.
Driven by a Passion for Education
For Guadalupe, joining EFYP was a natural extension of her lifelong belief in the power of education. Having attended public schools since kindergarten, she saw firsthand the challenges that many teachers and students face—especially when classrooms lack adequate resources or families struggle to afford basic school supplies.
“I’m deeply passionate about supporting and enhancing educational opportunities for all students,” she shared. “Education is powerful because it offers everyone, regardless of background, the tools to succeed. By helping achieve the Foundation’s mission, I know we can make a direct, positive impact on students, teachers, and our community.”
Her commitment to giving back is rooted not just in her values, but in her lived experience. She understands how transformative support can be—and she is determined to help ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to thrive.
A Milestone to Remember
One of Guadalupe’s proudest memories is earning a full scholarship to pursue her bachelor’s degree in the Accounting Honors Program at Florida Atlantic University. As the first in her family to attend college, the achievement meant more than academic success—it was a moment of hope, pride, and possibility for her entire family.
“My family was very proud,” she said. “I was the first in the family to go to college.”
Her accomplishment is a testament to perseverance and the impact that access to educational opportunity can have on a student’s life trajectory.
Creativity, Culture & Community
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Guadalupe brings creativity and energy to everything she does. She has loved dancing since childhood and took dance classes from age ten through high school. In her home country, she and her dance group performed at festivals and local events—an experience that connected her to her community and culture.
“I love to dance all types of music,” she shared. “Performing was one of my favorite parts of growing up.”
A Future Built on Giving Back
We are grateful to have Guadalupe as part of our Education Foundation Young Professionals community. Her dedication, her story, and her passion for making a difference embody exactly what EFYP stands for: leadership, service, and the power of investing in Palm Beach County’s students.
