Record-Breaking Success at the 10th Annual Heroes for Education 5K

The Education Foundation’s 10th Annual Heroes for Education 5K race has set a new benchmark for community engagement and fundraising success. This year’s event saw an unprecedented turnout, with 1,609 runners coming together to support education in our community. The enthusiasm and dedication of participants, sponsors, and volunteers resulted in an incredible achievement: over $100,000 raised to support the students, teachers, and schools of the School District of Palm Beach County.

School Participation and Performance Highlights

The spirit of competition was alive and well among our local schools, with several institutions standing out for their exceptional participation and performance. It’s important to note that schools were only eligible to win in either the largest team or fastest team category, not both.

  • Largest Elementary School: In a close second, Binks Forest Elementary earned the title for the elementary school division.
  • Largest Middle School: Polo Park Middle School claimed victory in their category.
  • Largest High School: Forest Hill High School emerged as the winner among high schools.
