Getting Closer to 25,000

As summer winds down, the long, sun-soaked days gradually give way to cooler breezes and earlier sunsets, signaling the transition to a new season. The once-bustling parks and beaches begin to quiet, and the scent of freshly sharpened pencils and new textbooks starts to fill the air. Children swap their swimsuits for school uniforms, and the excitement of back-to-school shopping takes over. Parents and students alike prepare for the return to routines, early mornings, and homework. It’s a time of anticipation and renewal, as the carefree spirit of summer makes way for the structured and promising rhythm of the school year ahead.

Our backpack build season has flown by, thanks to the generous support of volunteer groups from Comcast, Citizens Bank, Jezerinac Group, Florida Power and Light, The Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, Bentek/Gehring Group, Lea Luzon, B&I Contractors, Seacoast Bank, and The Florida Bar‘s Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section. Their dedication ensured that students from Palm Spring Elementary, Palmetto Elementary, Forest Hill Elementary, Diamond View Elementary, West Gate Elementary, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary, Rosenwald Elementary, Boca Raton Elementary, UB Kinsey/Palmview Elementary, and Pahokee Elementary have the pencils, papers, folders, and crayons lovingly placed inside brand new backpacks to start the new school year.
