Community Volunteer Groups Pack Backpacks

A backpack full of school supplies can significantly impact our highest-need student, serving as a crucial tool for their educational success and personal development. For these students, the burden of not having basic supplies like notebooks, pencils, and textbooks can be daunting and demotivating. By providing a fully stocked backpack, we level the playing field, ensuring that all students have the essential tools to participate fully in their education. This simple gesture can ignite a passion for learning, foster resilience, and pave the way for a brighter future for these young individuals.

We are immensely grateful to the incredible volunteer groups from Amazon, Noble Properties, Admiral’s Cove, Andersen Tax, Proctor Construction, Gold Coast Federal Credit Union, Gunster, Jones Foster, and NAI/Merin Hunter Codman for their dedication and hard work in helping us assemble 6,015 backpacks this week, bringing our total to 7,820 of our 25,000 goal!

Backpacks packed this week will be distributed to students at Forest Hill Elementary, Belvedere Elementary, K.E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary, Pioneer Park Elementary, Barton Elementary, Northmore Elementary, C.O. Taylor Kirklane Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Pleasant City Community Elementary, and Washington Elementary. Your commitment to supporting education and the well-being of our community’s children is truly inspiring. Thank you for your invaluable contribution and for making a significant difference in the lives of so many students.
