Publix Customers Help Provide $230K in School Supplies to Palm Beach County Schools

Thanks to the generous donations of Publix customers who rounded up at the register, the Education Foundation in partnership with Publix Supermarkets, was able to distribute more than $230,000 worth of school supplies to over 120 Title I schools in Palm Beach County. The event was a lively affair, with over 100 Publix employees, as well as important figures from the School District of Palm Beach County, including Superintendent Mike Burke, Chief Academic Officer Dr. Glenda Sheffield, and School District Police Chief Sarah Mooney, all joining in to help fill cars with free school supplies. Santa and EFPBC Board Chair, Lisa Park, greeted cars as picked up their goodies for their students and classrooms.
