Dwyer Awards Judging and Selection Process

Teachers are nominated by their peers, at their individual school, in one of six categories: Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Senior High School Education, Special Programs, Career Education and STEM Education. A judging committee, for each category, composed of business leaders, reviews and scores all submitted nomination packets.

A new and separate panel of judges, for each category, individually interviews each finalist in order to select the five recipients of the Dwyer Awards. Names of selected award recipients are not made public until the night of the awards ceremony.

The success of our selection process is due primarily to the commitment of time by countless community and business leaders. Please continue our great tradition by volunteering to participate in the judging process.

If you are interested in serving as a judge please email: DwyerAwards@EducationFoundationPBC.org for further instructions.

We proudly present each of our honorees with one of the following:
Award Recipients: $3,000 check and personalized crystal award
Finalists: $500 check and personalized framed certificate
We believe that the Dwyer Awards signify one of the most prestigious honors a teacher can receive in Palm Beach County.

Thank you to all our past Dwyer Award Selection Committee & Judges!
